Welcome to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. We are the Episcopal presence in Greensboro and the greater Lake Oconee area. The Church of the Redeemer is a place for Christian faithful to gather for worship and fellowship and to be empowered to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to not only engage God and each other in an ongoing dialogue, but also to reach beyond the walls of our buildings into the surrounding community. Our worship is grounded in the traditions of the Episcopal Church, our fellowship is centered around the hospitality of Christ, and our outreach is guided by the Holy Spirit to seek and serve Christ in all people.
This church has been a continuous presence in Greensboro since 1868. It is here that people from all walks of life have gathered to be enriched in the Word of God and fortified by the Sacraments. It is here that people have strengthened their relationships with God and have begun the life’s work of living faithfully the call to be a Christian.
We seek to be a place of comfort and welcome to all people, hoping that you will find a place with us in our community, where together we can share God’s love and find ourselves at home in the presence of Our Lord.
We invite you to join us in worship and fellowship as we serve Christ as a parish in the Diocese of Atlanta located in Greensboro and the Lake Oconee area.
Welcome to the Church of the Redeemer. Here, in this place, may we “rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer, contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.” (Romans 12:12-13)
